ATTENTION: NEW NAIW DESIGNATION
- CIIP (Certified Insurance Industry Professional)
Beginning July 1, 2011, NAIW (International) members
will have the opportunity to earn the Certified Professional Insurance Woman/Certified Insurance Professional Man/Certified
Insurance Industry Professional (CPIW/CPIM/CIIP) and the Diversified Advanced Education (DAE) designations.
Members
may apply for the Certified Insurance Industry Professional (CIIP) designation in lieu of the (CPIW/CPIM). The requirements
for the CIIP designation will be the same as the CPIW/CPIM.
Beginning July 1, 2011, if you currently hold the CPIW/CPIM
designation and you would like to transfer to the CIIP, please email your request to membership@naiw.org.

& CASUALTY BROKER-AGENTS & PERSONAL LINES BROKER-AGENTS
Homeowners' Insurance Valuation: CIC Section 1749.85(a) requires Property Broker-Agents, Casualty Broker-Agents and Personal Lines Broker-Agents
to complete training in the proper methods of estimating the replacement value of structures. This requirement shall be part
of, and not in addition to, the California resident licensee's continuing education requirement. One time requirement:
3 hour continuing education class. ****ATTENTION CISR'S****
Want to be able to receive a free update for your CISR designation?
The National Alliance has created a pilot program for California CISR's.
If you are an "active member of NAIW" as
well as having completed the CISR designation program offered through the National Alliance, you may be eligible for a free
update! Just take one (1) new participant to a core CISR class and if you both complete the class, you will receive
a full scholarship to your next update. Please contact Kathleen Soares or

**New Designation Available**
Attention INS 21, 22 and 23 Certificate holders!!
AICPCU and the Insurance Education Association (IEA) have a new designation available for those who have
completed the three INS Insurance Courses (INS21, INS22 and INS23). It is the "Associate in General Insurance"
(AINS) designation. All that is required for certificate holders is to go online at aicpcu.org and complete the
FREE Ethics 311 class For more information, you may contact customer service at the Institutes at (800) 644-2101
or email Customer Service at cutomerservice@theinstitutes.org. The information for this new designation is posted on the AICPCU website www.aicpcu.org. Please note that there are no CE credits associated with the Ethics 311 class and it will
not apply to your California Insurance License.
